The recommended system requirements assume you plan to or already have implemented EMR.  You may find that if you choose to implement the Billing and Scheduling or Scheduling only program, and do not plan to implement EMR or will plan to revise your hardware when EMR is implemented, your system requirements may be less.  Please contact sales for a free hardware analyisis.   

Supported Backup Types

In the event that you must submit your database to support for inspection, please note that MediNotes technical support can accept CD and DVD based backups. Due to the number and variety of tape backup devices, MediNotes cannot accept information on tape. Microsoft Word:

We would highly recommend you install Word on any machine using Encounter Manager if you would like to take advantage of superbills or mailouts.

Scanner

EncounterManager and Medinotes e both support scanning of documents.  If you are purchasing only EncounterManager a flatbed scanner would be sufficient.  If you plan to implement EMR or E-Scan in the near future we would recommend a scanner with ADF capabilities.  Fox Meadows recommends Fujitsu fi-5530C Sheet-fed Scanner.
